Planning, Building, Planning and Going

Hello Friends! Blessings to each of you in Jesus Name!

Want to let you all know what is happening with the Hawkins.

As previously reported we have arrived safely at Coldstream Christian Camp and the Potter's House Ministry. Lou Ann and I have moved into the upstairs master bedroom and are finally out of our boxes and suitcases after 3 months! We are not unpacked in the sense of being settled in a home. All of our belongings are still in storage waiting for me to finish our apartment.

The apartment is the basement of the Potter's House. It opens on one side at ground level, so it is not a cave, more of an underground house like we would see in the 70's. Most of the walls are up. My son in law Jeremy is planning and building the cabinets for the kitchen and bathroom. I hope to have insulation in within a week (with help) and have the wiring done by the end of next week.

MUCH is happening in Zambia. Our friend Jim Hoff leaves Sunday for Chingola. He will be setting up our internet school. The trip will be for three weeks. Thanks for your prayers as he works with Denson and company get this vital training tool established.

Johan Gous, Hope Builders International Africa Director, is in South Africa for planning and coordination meetings with sister ministries and will be going to Mozambique next Monday to work with our HUB churches there.

I am leaving for a 6 week trip August 21. This is a crucial survey, planning and HUB conference trip. Denson and I will be travelling from west to north/east visiting as many of our church plants as possible. This will be done with our new district leaders. The purpose is to see how they are doing and where we can improve in our working and training. The last two weeks will be Hub Training conferences (pastors conferences) in the very northeast region of Zambia. Quite the wilderness I am told. We will be meeting in very rural areas.

PRAYER NEEDS:
1. To finish the apartment ASAP. The basic funds are available through the ministry of CCC but there will be other needs as well. Jehovah-Jira.

2. Preparations for the major trip to Zambia in August. Travel costs in country will be expensive even with us "camping out" as much as possible. Jehovah-Jira.

3. Coordinating our involvement with two ministries - Zambia Coordinator and Potter's House Director.

4. Grace to do the ministry God has called us to.

Praise:
We are so thankful to finally be in Tennessee and the ministry of Coldstream Christian Camp.
We are thankful to be a part of the great Harvest in Africa through the ministry of Hope Builders International and HIM Zambia.
WE are also thankful to be near our children and grand children. We have seen more of them in the last month than we have in many years! Praise the Lord.
