thought for today

"Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. Had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. Feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us."(Author Unknown)

At Coldstream Christian Camp

Lou Ann and I continue to be busy building the apartment below the Potter' House. It seems to go slow somedays but all in all it is getting done. My son Luke and sons in law Ben and Jeremy are coming over this weekend to help prepare the walls and ceilings for drywall. The girls, Mary Beth, Grace and Amy will help Lou Ann clean the Potter's House and Cottage in preparation for new visitors.

The past two weeks has seen a full camp with children from the surrounding area and a group from Bethel Church in Crown Point, IN. It has been a rich blessing but a lot of work, a work of faith, labor of love and a lot of patient hope! It has been great to meet new people and see others come to Christ.

Today Mary Beth's Ben organized a helicopter landing in front of Denson Hall. It was quite spectacular! The rotor wind from the big CH-47 was so intense that it blew out the back window of our van!

The camp honored the men aboard with loud applause and shouts. We live in a wonderful country. Praise the Lord.

Lou Ann and I are in a rush to finish the basement apartment before I leave for Zambia August 21. Sometimes it seems quite overwhelming. We are doing most of the work ourselves. We are thankful for the help we get! Our family will be a big help this weekend.
